25 Oct Success and my new muddy hobby!
It was another incredible weekend at RunCamp HQ.
With runners battling the Abingdon Marathon and plenty heading to Portsmouth for the Great South Run, it would be safe to say I’d be glued to the results websites all Sunday.
If only that were true, but I had my own challenge to take on (more on that in a second!)
But first a huge well done to Angela C who not only ran Abingdon…
But smashed it out of the park with a HUGE personal best.
And not only that a time good enough to call herself “Good For Age” and secure a place for the London Marathon (she ran 3:42 – a whole 19 minutes quicker than Paris earlier this year!)
Steve J also had a great run at Abingdon with a 3:45!
Other great performances came from…
Kelly W who shaved 1:39 off her 10 mile time to finish in 69:55,
Steve Mitchell with 7:18 off his time finishing in 66:49
And this was just from the guys using our Training Plans.
The RunCamp RUN365 was a hive of activity and fantastic performances all weekend.
And what did I get up to?
We’ll seeing as you’ve read this far, I may as well let you know!
I did my first ever Cyclocross event.
Its basically a cycle race, on road bikes with mountain bike tyres – you race on short laps with plenty of turns and handling skills are a must.
So this is my little winter challenge to see how quickly I can learn to do something new!
I love a challenge.
It helps keep my motivation up, especially over the winter time where to be perfectly honest I am struggling.
But, luckily for you all, RunCamp have a few things up our sleeves to boost motivation going into 2017.
