22 Aug Who is in your running network?
Just last week I posted about the environment of success and Sunday we decided to host our first RunCamp Social Run Sunday (could do with a catchier title but we can work on that!)
With around 15 in attendance (a few disappeared before the camera came out..!) it was a great chance to chat running and talk events.
I don’t know about anyone else in attendance but I certainly left with a lot of enthusiasm and motivation about running!
We are looking to host another one next month…
All details will be circulated in out RunCamp Run365 group on Facebook and email only so stay tuned 🙂
In a similar format to our RunCamp Coaching Weekends, we had an awesome social network or runners who could pass on advice to each other.
Speaking of which we have some dates coming up in October where you can secure your place for just £59: >> Click here for the details <<
And it was this community feeling which made me think about all the interviews with the Olympians over the past few weeks as they spoke about their support staff…
About how important it is to have a strong network.
People to support you.
Who know exactly what you are going through and chances are have experienced it too.
Who can help you get to where you want to be!
We had runners from a wide range of backgrounds there on Sunday…
Chris who comes to our Coached Intervals – aka the Mad Ultramarathoner who is running 100km this Saturday.
Gary and Lisa from Level Two who have just completed the Salisbury 50km run.
Sian who is joining us for our Level One Course in September and training up of the Portsmouth Coastal Marathon.
Caroline who has Online Coaching and is a regular ultra runner and doing the New Forest Marathon
And many more awesome people who I could well list but I’d be here all day listing their achievements 🙂
It was great to spend Sunday morning with them and listen to their stories and to listen to them passing on knowledge to everyone else.
I’m looking forward to the next one already – in fact I’m going to start suggestions for the next one in the Facebook group right now!

P.S. So if you want to join our amazing support network – you can either keep an eye on Facebook or your email for the next Social Run.
Or maybe check out the website for details on Level One or even join us for our next Coaching Weekend in the New Forest
The weekend was amazing last time with lots of friendships formed and a lot of running theory and technique learnt and implemented… And a fair amount of Tea consumed too…!
Ant is the creator of RunCamp. Everyday his goals are to educate, motivate and inspire runners and triathletes to make themselves better than they were yesterday.
Running in his eyes is a journey, and through his coaching he aims to make everyone’s journeys more enjoyable.
As well as running, you’ll find Ant regularly taking part in triathlons, from sprint distance up to full Ironmans.
He also has a big weakness in the forms of Papa John’s pizza and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, so if you ever want to get an easier session, thats one way to get one!
